3 arrested for defrauding land of Banswari leather shoe factory
February 3, Kathmandu-The police have arrested 3 people on the charge of defrauding 10 ropani land of Banswari leather shoe factory.
Among those arrested are 80-year-old Ajit Narayan Singh Thapa, then Executive Chairman of Banswari Leather Shoe Factory Limited, who lives in Kathmandu Metropolitan City 9, Champion Footwear Ltd. & Prof. Ltd. Share owner and director who lives in the same Metropolitan City 26 of 60-year-old Arun Kumar Chaudhary and and 45-year-old Sanjay Thakur, director of CJI Chandwag Residency Pvt. Ltd.
On 10 April 2043, Ajit Narayan Singh Thapa, the then Executive Chairman of the Bansbari Leather and Shoe Factory established a company named Champion Footwear Ltd., with Arun Chaudhary as its director, against the law of the land that was registered in the name of Bansbari Leather and Shoe Factory Ltd.
According to the Central Police, it was revealed during the investigation that the right of 10 ropani land was transferred in the name of the factory to produce canvas shoes by taking 255 shares of that company.
According to the Central Bureau of Investigation, Lazimpat, necessary investigations are being conducted in this regard.
